Our Tithe

We tithe 10%.

From our first paid subscription onward, 10% of monthly revenue goes to local churches and organizations that serve the poor, the widow, and the orphan. We publish what we give, every month.

The Pledge

I built Voz of Faith for my own family first, and Scripture has shaped every part of it — including how it makes money. From our very first paid subscription, Voz of Faith will tithe 10% of monthly gross revenue (net of refunds and payment processor fees) to local churches and organizations serving the poor, the widow, and the orphan. This is not a marketing promise. It is a covenant baked into how this company is run.

The Math

Specific, not vague. Vague is what other companies do.

  1. 01

    What counts as revenue

Gross subscription revenue from the App Store and any future direct billing, after refunds and after payment processor fees. Not net profit — profit is too easy to engineer to zero.

  2. 02

    How the 10% is calculated

Calculated and given monthly, in the calendar month after revenue is recognized. Example: revenue earned in March is tithed in April, after the App Store payout settles.

  3. 03

    Who pays it

Voz of Faith pays it from company funds. Your subscription is a payment for a product, not a tax-deductible donation. If you want to give directly to one of our partners, we will gladly point you to them.

  4. 04

    When it starts

The pledge is active today. The first tithe will be calculated and given the first month after our first paid subscription, and every month after that for as long as Voz of Faith exists.

Where it goes

We do not give to large national fundraising machines. We give to organizations that put the money on the ground — small churches, food and shelter ministries, organizations protecting widows, orphans, and the unborn.

Transparency

Every month, we publish exactly how much was given and to whom. Even when the amount is small. Even when it is zero. The whole point of a tithe in public is that it cannot be quietly skipped.

Public Giving Ledger

No tithes recorded yet.

Voz of Faith does not yet have paid subscriptions. The first row of this ledger will be published the month after our first paid subscription clears. We will not edit this section to make it look better than it is.

Why 10%

"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it."
Malachi 3:10 (NIV)

Ten percent is not a marketing number. It is the biblical pattern of the tithe — the first portion, not the leftover. We are taking the verse at its word.

Common questions

Is my subscription tax-deductible?
No. You are paying for a product. Voz of Faith makes the donations as a company. If you want a tax-deductible giving receipt, please donate directly to a qualified nonprofit.
Why 10% of revenue and not 10% of profit?
Because profit is too easy to engineer to zero — through salaries, expenses, and reinvestment. A revenue-based tithe is harder to fudge and easier to verify, which is the whole point.
What if Voz of Faith loses money in a given month?
We tithe on revenue earned, not on profit. If revenue exists in a month, the tithe exists. The company will absorb that out of capital — that is the cost of taking the pledge seriously.
How can I trust this is real?
By the receipts. Each month, this page is updated with the amount given, the organization, and a link to a receipt or acknowledgment. If a month is missed, this page will say so plainly.
